May
-May 23-27, We spent the memorial day weekend out at the ranch in New Mexico. I decided to put up a little story about the trip here if you would like to see it. We had a nice time but worked most of it, and drank of course.
May 15, Well after a lot of hassel and a few miracles we finally got Caya registered $382.50. I also got a nice photo of her ID tag.
-May 13, We have setteled on the insurance. BoatUS has written a policy to cover the boat for about $1200 a year ($500 extra to include the Bahamas and Florida) and Geico has written the renters policy to cover our belongings for just under $200 a year. We will also be adding BoatUS unlimited towing coverage soon.
-May 11, Happy mothers day MOM's!!
-May 8, We finally get the website live on it's own domain name. After searching for the best deal in web hosting we have settled on this one. It really is the best deal out there. If you want the same thing check out our links page for the info. For $54.07 (Texas has to pay tax on it) we got our domain name registered and 1 year of service with 25MB storage and a GIG a month of bandwidth as well as all the email addresses we want. You can't beat that for a super flexible setup, heck the domain name costs $35 by itself!
-May 5, We purchased a Siemens 75watt Marine Solar panel kit with charge controller for $326.57 at Fry's (they had discontinued that model so it was marked down, yippie for us). That should help keep the 2 extra dual purpose batteries we purchased charged up for us (they were $39 each at Academy Sports for a 97Ah deep cell/start great price!)
-May 3, We ordered our digital camera and marine case for the trip as well as a couple of SD memory cards and an extra battery from B&H Photo for $766.64. We setteled on the Minolta Dimage Xi because it is extremely small, has a 3x optical zoom, Uses the very stable and common SD memory cards, is 3.2 mega-pixels (plenty for our needs) and has a compact and fully functional Marine case for underwater or severe weather photography.
-May 1, Phoenix's dad bought a new 4-wheeler for them to ride around on the few days off that they do get. Looks like some beautiful country for riding.
